Ways to Support
Become a CASA Volunteer
A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a specially trained community volunteer who is appointed by a Family Court Judge to provide consistent and caring support on behalf of an innocent child going through the family court system due to abuse and/or neglect by parent(s) or guardian(s).
Become a Friend of CASA
CASA of Westmoreland, Inc. is in need of volunteers who may not have the time to be an advocate for a child, but who can help CASA in other ways. Many community members help CASA by assisting with fundraising events, office assistance, or use of other skills to further advance the program.
Host a CASA Information / Orientation Meeting
You can help us spread the word about the CASA program by inviting a representative from CASA to speak at your next function. Contact us if you are interested in scheduling one of these events.
Become a Corporate Sponsor
Help defray the administrative costs associated with operating a CASA program. Provide in-kind support or sponsoring of:
- Fundraising assistance
- Sponsoring volunteer training sessions or providing space for trainings
- Sponsoring CASA fundraising, volunteer recognition, or other events
- Providing goods or services to CASA of Westmoreland Inc.
- Promoting employee volunteerism with CASA by posting recruitment information
- Disseminating CASA information to employees or constituents of your organization
Become A Donor Member of The Powerful Voice Society!
This community-wide “giving society” enables CASA of Westmoreland to sustain and expand the number of Westmoreland County foster children and legal orphans we are able to serve annually. The operational cost to CASA Westmoreland to serve a child for a year is $1,200. By joining our Powerful Voice Society as a leading donor you enable us to recruit, train, and provide a Volunteer CASA Child Advocate to work for the best interest of a child, to provide high quality information in service to the Judge/Hearing Officer adjudicating the case, to provide quality staff to supervise and support each Advocate and most of all provide a foster child/legal orphan with a motivated, caring adult who will consistently deliver a supportive presence to the child during this confusing time in their life. Help CASA maintain and grow our service by enabling our operation to thrive in service. Join our Powerful Voice Society!
