CASA of Westmoreland Receives $5,000 Grant

CASA of Westmoreland received a $5,000 grant from Standard Bank on December 3rd.

The $5,000 grant will assist in aiding a series of workshops that will provide trauma-informed training to help CASA volunteers understand, tolerate, and help children who are experiencing behaviors that have a trauma origin. With this training, volunteers will be better equipped to help children deescalate and advocate for their appropriate professional care.

Standard Charitable Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support to not for profit organizations in the communities in which Standard Bank operates. The Standard Charitable Foundation was established in conjunction with the 2010 conversion of Standard Bank’s parent company from mutual to stock form.
